3D Characters (Hard Surface Modeling)
Overview
This project involved the creation of two custom 3D robot assets developed for integration into a video game. The objective was to design visually distinct and technically optimized robotic characters that enhance gameplay, world-building, and player engagement.

Concept & Direction
Each robot was designed with a unique identity, purpose, and visual style, allowing them to serve different roles within the game environment. The direction focused on combining futuristic design elements with functional detailing, ensuring both assets felt believable within a sci-fi setting.
Special attention was given to silhouette, scale, and mechanical complexity, making each robot easily recognizable while maintaining a cohesive design language across both assets.
Design & Development Process
The development process included concept exploration, high-resolution modeling, and game-ready optimization. Key focus areas included:
- Mechanical detailing and modular design elements
- Clean topology optimized for real-time performance
- High-quality PBR texturing (metal surfaces, wear, emissive elements)
- Functional design for potential animation and rigging
Each robot was built with flexibility in mind, allowing for easy adaptation in gameplay scenarios, animations, or future expansions.
Usage & Application
The 3D robot assets were designed for integration into:
- Enemy or NPC characters within gameplay
- Interactive environment elements or AI units
- Sci-fi themed levels and missions
- Cinematic sequences and promotional content
- Real-time engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
Outcome
The final result delivers two visually compelling and versatile robot assets that contribute to a richer and more immersive game world. By combining strong design with technical efficiency, the project supports both the artistic vision and performance requirements of modern game development.
